Wood Gasification

If you have an ongoing supply of wood then you should look no further than a Wood Gasification Boiler.
The better the quality of the wood the better the efficiency levels achieved. Seasoned wood with a moisture content of approximately 20% is ideal for this process.
Timber should be cut to size, stored on pallets off the ground to allow air circulation around the wood, and kept under cover.
Generally speaking it is possible to get good results after 1 year but 2 years seasoning is better.
In order to maximise fuel efficiency and minimise emissions it is necessary to achieve as close as possible to complete combustion of any fuel.
Wood Gasification Boilers enable this to happen by combining the gases that are released from combusting wood with a sufficient supply of oxygen to produce complete oxidation.
Mescoli Wood Gasification Boilers have an average yield of 86% over 7-8 hours operation and the special fume cycle enables up to 90% exploitation of the energy produced.
It is important to note that a Wood Gasification Boiler must be installed in conjunction with a Buffer / Accumulator Tank, a Loading Unit and a 4 Way Mixing Valve.
The Buffer Tank stores energy, in the form of hot water, that is produced when the Gaselle is firing and should be sized according to boiler capacity.
Your water demand, the time of year, outside air temperature etc will determine how often you will need to load and fire your Gaselle to keep the buffer tank store of water up to temperature.
